There is a lecture at the University of Melbourne at 1.30pm on Tuesday the 16th of December, that may be of interest to the Mongolian community. Amy Hessl, from West Virginia University discusses her 8 years of climate history research In Mongolia, and the links between climate and the rapid expansion of the Mongol Empire in the early 13th Century. Also discussed are current, recent past and future climate conditions and what how they might affect modern day Mongolia. This is a free lecture open to all public and it would be great to see some of the Mongolian community of Melbourne there.
